MILWAUKEE, WI — A 12-year-old boy was hospitalized Monday night after being struck by a vehicle while crossing a street in northwest Milwaukee, according to TMJ4.
The crash happened at the corner of Fond du Lac Avenue and North Beale Street, in the city’s Maple Tree neighborhood.
Milwaukee Police said the child was walking across the road near the intersection when he was hit by the vehicle at about 9:00 p.m.
Medics transported the boy to a local hospital with serious injuries. No further information has been shared on his condition, but officials said he is expected to survive.
The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with police.
It remains unclear at this time whether any charges are expected to be filed.
