MILWAUKEE, WI — Two people were seriously injured early Wednesday when they were hit by cars during an argument near Milwaukee’s South Side, reports FOX6 Milwaukee.
The events unfolded in the area of South 10th Street and West Lincoln Avenue, in the city’s Lincoln Village neighborhood, at about 1:45 a.m.
An early investigation indicates a male suspect was engaged in a dispute with multiple people when he hit a 24-year-old woman with his car as he tried to leave the scene. Another suspect in a second vehicle then chased the first suspect in his car, causing the first vehicle to strike a parked car.
Officials said as the first suspect attempted to flee the scene on foot, he was intentionally hit by the second suspect’s car.
The female victim, who suffered life-threatening injuries, was rushed to an area hospital.
The first suspect, a 28-year-old man, was taken into police custody and also transported to a nearby hospital with serious injuries. He faces charges from the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office.
An investigation and search for other involved suspects remain underway.
