MILWAUKEE COUNTY, WI — A 16-year-old boy was seriously injured Saturday night when he was struck by a vehicle in east Greenfield, according to TMJ4.
Greenfield Police responded to the scene in the area of West Loomis Road and West Edgerton Avenue shortly after the incident at 10:30 p.m.
Details are limited, but the victim’s mother said her son was with a group of friends when he was hit by the driver in the middle of the road.
The driver fled the scene without stopping to render aid.
The victim suffered multiple broken bones and internal injuries. He was rushed to Children’s Wisconsin-Milwaukee Hospital, where he remains unconscious as of Monday morning.
At this time, authorities have not released further information or a description of the suspect vehicle.
An investigation remains ongoing.
