GREEN BAY, WI — Two people were injured Tuesday afternoon when a teenage driver slammed into the Taco Tone’s food trailer in Green Bay’s west side, reports WBAY.

The collision occurred near the intersection of South Oneida Street and Hickory Hill Drive, a few blocks west from Marquette Park.

Authorities said the owner of the food truck, a man and a woman, were preparing to leave the area after working an event at a nearby school. At one point, the trailer was struck by the teen, who was allegedly texting while driving.

Both victims, who were sitting in a vehicle hitched to the food trailer, were injured in the impact of the crash. One of the patients suffered a concussion.

As a result of the accident, the food trailer sustained total damages and was taken to a salvage yard, putting the business out of service.

At this time, no details have been released regarding any pending charges or citations.
