RACINE COUNTY, WI — One person was hurt Thursday morning after a two-vehicle accident involving a semi-truck on Interstate 94 in Caledonia, reports TMJ4.
The collision occurred on the northbound side of I-94 near County Road K, or Northwestern Avenue. It was first reported by TMJ4 at 10:14 a.m.
According to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, a Hyundai Elantra was heading northbound when, for unknown reasons, it lost control. A semi-truck veered to avoid a crash, but collided with the median wall and jackknifed. The semi came to rest across three of the four traffic lanes, with the Elantra under its trailer.
Authorities confirmed the driver of the Elantra suffered injuries, but the severity of their condition was not disclosed.
An investigation into the cause of the wreck was underway.
