KENOSHA COUNTY, WI — A Kenosha woman was hospitalized Thursday night after a two-vehicle collision on County Highway C near southeast Salem, according to TMJ4.
The accident happened on a stretch of the highway (Wilmot Road) near the 98th Street intersection at about 5:16 p.m.
An early investigation indicates the woman was driving westbound on the highway when, for reasons still being investigated, she lost control of her car. The vehicle veered into the eastbound lanes, where it collided with a Jeep Grand Cherokee.
Authorities said the Kenosha woman suffered serious injuries and was transported by airlift to Froedtert Hospital, where she was listed in critical condition.
A woman and three child passengers in the Jeep sustained minor injuries and did not require transport to a hospital, according to Kenosha deputies.
An investigation was underway, but authorities said neither speed nor impairment are suspected factors in the crash.
