DODGE COUNTY, WI — An 87-year-old died Sunday evening after a single-vehicle accident on County Highway C near the township of Chester, according to CBS58.
The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office said the fatal collision occurred near County Highway I at approximately 6:30 p.m.
An early investigation indicates the man was behind the wheel of a 2008 Mercury heading eastbound on County Highway C when he failed to negotiate a curve. The Mercury then ran off the roadway and collided with multiple trees near the south ditch.
The Dodge County Medical Examiner pronounced the victim deceased at the scene. Authorities confirmed he was alone in the vehicle at the time, and no other injuries were reported.
No further information has been made available at this time, but an investigation by the DCSO and the DCME remains in progress.
