MILWAUKEE, WI — A vehicle accident late Monday afternoon blocked a left lane on Interstate 43 near Milwaukee’s Hillside neighborhood, according to TTWN Milwaukee.
The crash happened on the northbound lanes after Fond du Lac Avenue, or Wisconsin Highway 145. It was first reported by TTWN at 4:50 p.m.

It was unclear what led up to the event, but by 5:45 p.m., nearly an hour later, the scene remained on the roadway, indicating a serious wreck and an extended emergency response.
Motorists were warned of stop-and-go traffic back to the Marquette Interchange.
