DANE COUNTY, WI — A vehicle collision early Monday morning closed all southbound lanes on U.S. Highway 51 near Barbers Bay in northwest Stoughton, according to 511 Wisconsin.
The crash happened on the southbound highway at Halverson Road. It was first reported by 511 at 5:23 p.m.

It was unclear what led up to the wreck or how many vehicles were involved, but all southbound lanes remained blocked for more than half an hour.
Shortly after 6:00 p.m., the scene had been cleared from the roadway and all lanes were reopened to traffic.
