MILWAUKEE COUNTY, WI — A 20-year-old woman died Tuesday morning after being struck by a vehicle while crossing a road near West Allis, according to CBS58.
The fatal incident occurred near the intersection of South 108th Street and West Morgan Avenue at about 6:24 a.m.
An early investigation indicates the victim was walking across the roadway when she was hit by a gray 2021-2016 Toyota Corolla going northbound on South 108th Street. The car fled the scene moments after the crash.
West Allis Police Department confirmed the victim died from her injuries at the scene.
A section of 108th Street was shut down following the collision.
Authorities have not released further information at this time, but said the suspect Toyota Corolla should have front-end damage.
