News: Tow truck crews respond to crashes across Kenosha

KENOSHA, WI – Tow truck crews were kept busy on New Year’s Day by the first winter storm of the season, responding to roughly a dozen collisions in a single two-hour window.

CBS 58 reports that meteorologists expected five to eight inches of snow in the area. Compounding the poor weather was the fact that many of the area’s tow truck drivers were out with COVID as the Omicron variant swept through the Midwest.

I-94 was particularly hard hit, they said, and motorists were reminded to drive cautiously and allow for longer stopping times.

Anyone who can avoid getting on the road in snowy weather should refrain from driving.
