SHEBOYGAN COUNTY, WI — Five people were injured Thursday morning in a series of separate collisions on Interstate 43 in north Sheboygan, according to TMJ4.
The Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office said officers initially responded to a multi-vehicle collision on the northbound lanes near Rowe Road at about 5:39 a.m.
While on the way to the reported crash, a deputy encounter another crash scene where a vehicle had rear-ended a pickup truck, causing it to roll off the interstate. One person sustained minor injuries as a result.
At the next crash site, one victim was extricated from a wrecked vehicle and suffered minor neck and back injuries. Two others received relatively minor injuries, but one person suffered potentially life-threatening injuries after being ejected from a vehicle.
An investigation into the crashes remain underway.
The incidents caused the interstate to shut down for multiple hours, but all lanes have since been cleared.
