RACINE COUNTY, WI — Two people were injured, one critically, Sunday afternoon after a high-speed collision involving two vehicles in the Town of Dover, according to Kenosha News.

The Racine County Sheriff’s Office said the accident occurred at the intersection of Highway A (Plank Road) and Wisconsin Highway 75 (Beaumont Avenue) at around 3:52 p.m.

An early investigation indicates a 29-year-old man was speeding westbound in a 2016 Honda passenger car on Highway A. As he approached the intersection, he ran a posted stop sign and struck a 2019 Honda passenger car driven by a 52-year-old woman.

Responding deputies and crews with Kansas Fire/Rescue and Flight for Life arrived to find the man suffering from critical injuries. Shortly after administering life-saving measures, they airlifted him to a regional trauma center. No updates on his condition have been released.

Union Grove Fire/Rescue transported the female driver to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Both vehicles received extensive damage in the accident.
