IXONIA, WI – An Amazon driver is lucky to be alive after his vehicle was hit by an Amtrak train in the town of Ixonia on Wednesday afternoon.
According to a report by TMJ 4, the Amazon van was hit at about 1:30 p.m. as it was heading northbound across the railroad tracks on River Valley Road near STH-16.
The driver was taken to a nearby hospital as a precaution. All passengers on the train were uninjured.
