RICHFIELD, WI – A man was fatally struck by a train in the Village of Richfield on Wednesday afternoon.
According to TMJ 4, the man was walking on the tracks near Scenic Drive and Lakeview Road when he was hit by the train around 2:41 p.m.
Investigators say the train was heading southbound on the tracks and began sounding the horn when the driver noticed the man. Unfortunately, he did not respond in time.
The unidentified victim was found dead at the scene of the crash. His identity remains unclear at this time.
