SOMERS, WI – One man was arrested after hitting a UW Parkside student on the school’s campus this morning.
According to WLIP, the man was walking with his girlfriend within the 900 block of Wood Road at about 2:10 a.m. when he was hit by an oncoming vehicle.
The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. His girlfriend was not reported injured as a result.
The driver of the vehicle, 23-year-old Christian Gutierrez-Plazaola, was arrested after failing a field sobriety test. He has since been released on bond.
