MILWAUKEE, WI – A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a driver attempting to flee police in the Clarke Square area early this morning.
According to a report by CBS 58, West Allis police unsuccessfully attempted to apprehend a reckless driver near 80th Street and National Avenue. Police pursued the driver eastbound on National Avenue for several blocks before he struck a pedestrian near 21st Street.
The victim, 34-year-old Calob House, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police halted the pursuit of the driver after House was struck. The suspect eluded authorities and at the time of this post, no arrests have been made. We will continue to monitor this developing story and will publish updates when they become available.
