MILWAUKEE, WI — A 63-year-old man died Thursday afternoon following a two-vehicle wreck in Milwaukee’s North Point area, according to TMJ4.
The Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office said the collision occurred on North Lincoln Memorial Road at Water Tower Road, just south of Bradford Beach.
Preliminary details indicate the 63-year-old man was driving northbound on Lincoln Memorial Road when he turned left onto westbound Water Tower Road. Moments later, his vehicle was struck by a southbound vehicle driven by a 19-year-old man. At least one of the vehicles caught fire as a result.
Authorities said multiple bystanders rushed to perform CPR before crews with the Milwaukee Fire Department arrived, but at 1:25 p.m., first responders pronounced the 63-year-old driver deceased at the scene.
It was unclear whether the 19-year-old driver was seriously hurt.
Photos taken at the scene show debris and a fallen light pole near a damaged light-colored vehicle that appears to be a taxi cab.
No details regarding the cause of the accident have been shared at this time.
