MILWAUKEE, WI — Authorities responded to a crash Friday morning that kept multiple lanes of Interstate 43 blocked in downtown Milwaukee, according to 511 Wisconsin.
The collision occurred on the northbound lanes at West Highland Avenue, near the Westown neighborhood. It was first reported by 511 at 7:16 a.m.
At this time, it remains unclear what led up to the wreck, but three right lanes remained shut down for more than 40 minutes.

By 7:49 a.m., crews had cleared the accident from the interstate and all lanes were restored to traffic.
