WAUKESHA COUNTY, WI — A 73-year-old man was hospitalized Wednesday evening in a pedestrian crash on St. Paul Avenue in Waukesha, according to TMJ4.
The incident occurred at the intersection with Fairview Avenue. City of Waukesha Police responded to the scene shortly after, blocking off the area at around 6:00 p.m.
Details remain limited, but authorities said the male pedestrian had just left a nearby business. As he was crossing St. Paul Avenue. he was hit by a westbound car.
The victim, who suffered life-threatening injuries, was administered life-saving measures from police and Fire Department crews at the scene. He was then rushed to a local hospital where his condition remains undisclosed.
It remains unclear whether the driver stayed at the scene. No charges have been reported as of this writing.
St. Paul Avenue was expected to remain closed for multiple hours during the response and initial investigation.
