MILWAUKEE, WI — A 63-year-old man died Thursday night after a single-vehicle accident on Interstate 43 near Milwaukee’s WIlson Park neighborhood, according to TMJ4.
The Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office said officers responded to the scene near South 27th Street shortly after receiving calls at about 11:00 p.m.
It was not immediately clear what led up to the fatal crash, but an early investigation indicates the man lost control of his vehicle before crossing several lanes of traffic. The vehicle then collided with a barrier.
Good Samaritans stopped and tried to assist the driver before authorities arrived.
First responders applied life-saving measures to the victim, but he was pronounced deceased at the scene half an hour later.
