PEWAUKEE, WI – A 76-year-old woman and a 46-year-old man passed away after they were hit by a 49-year-old man driving a green pickup truck Wednesday.

TMJ4 said this collision happened in the vicinity of Pewaukee Road and Capitol Drive. The Waukesha County Sheriff’s Office said this crash occurred when the 49-year-old man (going west on Capitol) rear-ended a car driven by the 76-year-old woman and then struck two construction workers, the 46-year-old man and a 47-year-old man in a construction zone.

Deputies said the elderly woman succumbed to fatal wounds at the scene, while first responders took the 46-year-old man to a hospital, where he passed away.

Meanwhile, the 47-year-old sustained non-life-threatening wounds.

Deputies are still investigating the circumstances behind this collision. However, additional details from an eyewitness claimed that the 49-year-old man’s truck had “airborne” prior to him striking the woman and construction workers.

It is unclear if the pickup truck driver was wounded or if he will face charges or citations.

In addition, the sheriff’s office has not released the victim’s names.
