MILWAUKEE, WI – A driver of a vehicle had hydroplaned, leading them to hit a Milwaukee County deputy on the I-41/U.S. 45 shoulder and overturn amid heavy rain Sunday.
The Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office told TMJ4 that the deputy was assisting the driver of a disabled vehicle and waiting on a tow truck at the time of the collision. Authorities said the driver who hydroplaned and struck the officer was temporarily trapped inside.
Officials did not specify when the other driver was freed from their vehiclebut did confirm no parties were injured.
