RACINE, WI – One person sustained injuries when a driver of an unspecified vehicle struck a tree along Kearney Avenue and Gilson Street Thursday.
The Racine Police Department and The Racine Fire Department responded to this scene after 9 p.m. Initially, the first responders received a call claiming that one person had been trapped. However, upon arrival, the extrication process was called off.
It is not immediately clear why the rescue portion was canceled, nor did officials specify the events leading to this collision. In addition, first responders did not say if the wounded occupant needed to be hospitalized.
