KANSASVILLE, WI – One driver struck a utility pole upon colliding with another vehicle at South Beaumont Avenue and Church Road Wednesday.
The Kansasville Fire and Rescue Department was summoned to the scene around 6:45 p.m. Fire crews initially said they received a call claiming that one of the cars overturned or collided head-on with the other. However, after arriving, they confirmed this to be untrue.
Firefighters were ready to extricate the two drivers (sole occupants) from their vehicles if necessary. But this was unnecessary, and paramedics evaluated the two for injuries. It is not immediately clear if both drivers were hurt or experienced pain as they both declined to be taken to area hospitals.
Wednesday’s crash investigation was left to the Racine County Sheriff’s Office while fire crews assisted with the scene clearance process, including helping tow trucks remove both vehicles from sight.
