MILWAUKEE, WI – A man was driving on the wrong side of the road and at 98 mph when he ran a red light, crashed into another vehicle and continued to flee from police.
This particular incident happened around 10 a.m. Friday, March 8th, but police did not release any information about this crash until Wednesday, March 13th, CBS58 revealed.
The pursuit was terminated, and police arrested the driver — 23-year-old Forest Mayes — for fleeing along with his involvement in fatal hit-and-run on Feb. 23 that claimed the life of 32-year-old Jennifer Gail Dimatteo.
Mayes was charged with “Hit-and-run resulting in Death, Felony Bail Jumping, fleeing or eluding an officer as a habitual criminal repeater, first-degree recklessly endangering safety as a repeat offender.”
