WASHINGTON COUNTY, WI — Commuters faced lengthy delays Wednesday morning on Interstate 41 near Richfield following a collision, reports TMJ4.
The crash impacted both northbound and southbound lanes at Exit 57 to Holly Hill Road. It was first reported by officials at 4:56 a.m.
Details indicating the cause of the accident and the involved vehicles have not been shared, but the interstate was shut down in both directions as crews worked to remove debris from the roadway.
Northbound and southbound commuters alike were advised to avoid the area and take Lannon Road to Wisconsin State Highway 145 before re-entering I-41/45.
