MILWAUKEE, WI — A 25-year-old man died late Friday night after being struck by a vehicle in northwest Milwaukee’s Capitol Heights neighborhood, according to TMJ4.
Authorities said the incident occurred on West Fond du Lac Avenue at the intersection with West Armitage Avenue, shortly before 12:00 a.m.
Details remain limited, but a preliminary investigation indicates the young man was hit by a westbound vehicle whose driver failed to stop.
The victim was pronounced deceased on the scene, confirmed the Milwaukee Police Department. He has since been identified as Tyler McKinley.
No further information has been released at this time, but an investigation and search for unknown suspects remain ongoing.
