SHEBOYGAN COUNTY, WI — A 4-year-old girl was fatally injured Wednesday evening when a vehicle hit her and other pedestrians during a crash in northwest Sheboygan, reports TMJ4.
The incident took place near the corner of North 21st Street and Saemann Avenue, in the Cleveland Park neighborhood. Sheboygan Police and Fire Department crews responded to the scene at about 5:00 p.m.
Authorities said a pickup truck was traveling northbound on 21st Street when it struck an eastbound vehicle at the intersection with Saemann Avenue. The impact of the wreck sent one of the vehicles off the roadway and into a group of pedestrians.
Officials confirmed a 4-year-old girl succumbed to injuries suffered in the crash.
Three other people who sustained minor injuries were transported to area hospitals.
According to Sheboygan Police, both drivers remained at the scene and were said to be cooperating with investigators.
No charges have been reported, and no other information has been released at this time.
