MILWAUKEE, WI — One person was seriously injured Thursday morning due to a pedestrian crash in northwest Milwaukee’s Vogel Park area, reports TMJ4.
Milwaukee Police responded to the scene near North 87th Street and West Hampton Avenue, at about 5:00 a.m.
Authorities did not say what led up to the incident, but officers arrived to find the adult victim suffering from serious injuries. First responders rushed the patient, a local resident, to an area hospital.
TMJ4 News crew members at the site observed debris near the intersection and the wrecked vehicle at rest in a nearby front yard.
The driver, who stayed after the crash and cooperated with an investigation, was also sent to the hospital with undisclosed injuries.
The Milwaukee Police Department continues to investigate. At this time, reckless driving does not appear to have been a factor.
