FOND DU LAC COUNTY, WI — A 29-year-old man died Saturday afternoon after a pedestrian crash on Interstate 41 in northwest Fond du Lac, according to NBC26.
The fatal incident took place on the northbound lanes at State Highway 23. Multiple agencies, including the Wisconsin State Patrol, responded to the scene at about 3:03 p.m.
Few details have been disclosed at this time, but officials said the male pedestrian was struck by a single northbound vehicle driven by a 45-year-old Aurora, Colorado man.
The victim, who sustained fatal injuries, was pronounced deceased on the scene.
A section of the northbound interstate was blocked for hours during the emergency response and initial investigation by the Fond du Lac Sheriff’s Office and Fond du Lac Police Department.
The circumstances behind the event remain unclear, and no charges have been reported.
