RACINE COUNTY, WI — A 25-year-old Racine man died early Saturday after a pedestrian crash on Wisconsin State Highway 31 near east Caledonia, reports TMJ4.
Caledonia Police said the fatal incident occurred at the Tabor Road intersection. Officers were called to the scene at about 12:17 a.m.
According to authorities, the victim was walking southbound on the highway when he was struck by a car driven by a 60-year-old Raymond man. Following the event, the driver stayed at the scene and alerted emergency dispatchers.
First responders administered life-saving measures on the male pedestrian, but he succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
An investigation by the Caledonia Police Department and the Racine County Sheriff’s Office was underway, with cooperation from the involved driver. No charges have been reported at this time.
