FOND DU LAC COUNTY, WI — A 16-year-old Mount Calvary-area resident has died following a single-vehicle wreck early Saturday in Taycheedah that killed another teenager, reports NBC26.

The fatal collision occurred on Golf Course Drive, east of Taft Road, in the city’s southeast side. Deputies with the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office, as well as crews with the Mount Calvary Fire Department and Mount Calvary EMS, were all called to the scene at 3:25 a.m.

Authorities arrived to find the vehicle’s three teenage occupants injured. The front-seat passenger, a 16-year-old boy from Eldorado, was pronounced deceased on the scene.

The 16-year-old driver was transported by ThedaStar helicopter to ThedaCare Regional Medical Center. On Wednesday, January 25, NBC26 reported that the teen had also died from his injuries.

A 16-year-old Fond du Lac girl who was sitting in the vehicle’s backseat was transported by ambulance to SSM Health – St. Agnes with non-life-threatening injuries. No updates on her condition have been disclosed.

An investigation was underway, but the sheriff’s office have determined speed and alcohol to have been factors in the crash.
