MILWAUKEE, WI — A semi-truck hauling 40,000 pounds of corn overturned Thursday evening, closing part of southbound Interstate 41 in northwest Milwaukee, reports TMJ4.
The rollover crash happened on the southbound lanes at Exit 46 to Silver Spring Drive, near the Timmerman West neighborhood. It was first reported at about 8:00 p.m.
Details remain limited, but the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene where a complete freeway closure remained in place, with all southbound traffic being detoured off of I-41 at Appleton Avenue.
The driver of the semi suffered minor injuries, but it was unclear whether or not he was transported to a hospital.
