MILWAUKEE, WI — A vehicle fire Thursday morning closed an Interstate 794 exit ramp near downtown Milwaukee’s Westown neighborhood, reports TMJ4.
The incident occurred on the Exit 1B ramp from I-794 westbound to I-43 southbound at the Marquette Interchange. It was first reported at about 7:50 a.m.
It was unclear whether a crash was the cause of the fire, but the entire ramp was blocked for nearly an hour as crews responded to the scene.
Shortly before 9:00 a.m., TMJ4 reported that the ramp had reopened to traffic.
At this time, no information regarding potential injuries has been released.
