MILWAUKEE, WI — One person was injured Tuesday morning due to a collision on Interstate 94/43 in Milwaukee’s Baran Park neighborhood, according to FOX 6 Milwaukee.
The accident happened on the northbound lanes of I-94/43 at Exit 312A, just south of West Becher Street. It was first captured by a Wisconsin Department of Transportation camera at about 5:30 a.m.
Footage recorded at the scene indicates one car was traveling in the center lane, above the posted speed limit. Shortly after, that same car is seen approaching a slower vehicle before losing control. The speeding vehicle then hits the guardrail on the driver’s side.
The Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the driver of the speeding vehicle was transported to a local hospital. No information on the patient’s condition has been disclosed.
The right lane of I-94/43 was blocked during the emergency response and scene clearance.
