MILWAUKEE, WI — A 25-year-old man was taken into custody Monday night after a police chase ended in a two-vehicle wreck in northwest Milwaukee, according to CBS58.
The collision occurred in the area of North 43rd Street and West Silver Spring Drive at about 9:48 p.m.
According to the Milwaukee Police Department, a “dangerous” police pursuit was prompted near 43rd Street and West Villard Avenue and later ended with a crash involving an occupied car at the West Silver Spring intersection. The driver of the struck vehicle fled the scene.
Following the crash, officers were able to arrest the 25-year-old man. A gun and suspected drugs were also recovered from the scene. The suspect suffered minor injuries and was transported to an area hospital.
An investigation was underway. As of this writing, charges have been referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office.
