OUTAGAMIE COUNTY, WI — A vehicle accident Thursday evening closed all southbound lanes of Interstate 41 in north Appleton, according to We Are Green Bay.
The crash happened on the southbound interstate at Exit 142 to the northbound lanes of Wisconsin Highway 47, or North Richmond Street. It was first reported by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation at 7:12 p.m.
Few details have been disclosed, but the closure was expected to remain in place for about two hours, suggesting a major crash and extended emergency response.
The Wisconsin State Patrol were at the scene conducting an investigation.
The scene was later reported cleared ahead of schedule at 8:55 p.m., with all lanes reopened.
As of this writing, no injuries have been confirmed.
