MILWAUKEE, WI — A vehicle was hit by debris Monday morning on an Interstate 794 exit ramp in downtown Milwaukee, prompting a temporary closure, according to FOX 6 Milwaukee.
The incident occurred on the offramp to North Plankinton Avenue. Officials with the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office initially reported an apparent shooting shortly before 7:00 a.m., but the correction was made about twenty minutes later.
At this time, it remains unclear whether debris was thrown at the vehicle, or if the vehicle hit stray objects in the roadway.
No injuries have been reported, and the ramp reopened about twenty minutes after the initial report.
