News UPDATE: Victims identified after fatal DPS truck crash in Wauwatosa

MILWAUKEE COUNTY, WI — The Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the three people who died Tuesday afternoon after a multi-vehicle crash in Wauwatosa, reports TMJ4.

The fatal collision occurred at the intersection of North Mayfair Road and Wisconsin Avenue on December 13.

Moments after being involved in a minor hit-and-run crash at West Watertown Plank Road, a Department of Public Works truck continued to speed southbound on Mayfair Road. At the intersection with Wisconsin Avenue, the truck collided with multiple vehicles that were stopped in traffic.

Two victims in two of the involved cars, along with the the DPS truck driver, were all pronounced deceased at the scene. The occupants of the cars were identified the same day as 85-year-old Paul Woida, a Milwaukee resident, and 40-year-old Amy Miller, of Cedarburg. On Thursday morning, the DPS employee was identified as Denise Durrah, 64, of Milwaukee.

Wauwatosa Police continue to investigate the cause of the accident, and whether the DPS truck driver was suffering from a medical episode at the time.
