MILWAUKEE, WI — A 31-year-old Madison woman died early Saturday after a high-speed wreck in Milwaukee’s Land Bank neighborhood, reports TMJ4.
The fatal accident happened near the North 91st Street and West Bradley Road intersection at about 3:06 a.m.
According to Milwaukee Police, a 26-year-old Waukesha woman was driving at a high rate of speed. At one point, her vehicle veered off the roadway and collided with a tree.
The Madison woman, who was a passenger in the vehicle, died from her injuries at the scene.
First responders transported the driver to a local hospital with injuries considered non-life-threatening. Authorities said she was later taken into custody.
No further information has been released. An investigation remains in progress, with charges being referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office.
