MILWAUKEE, WI — A 26-year-old man was hospitalized early Sunday after a two-vehicle wreck on North 35th Street in northwest Milwaukee, according to TMJ4.
Milwaukee Police said the accident occurred at the West Nash Street intersection at about 1:40 a.m.
An early investigation indicates that, for unknown reasons, the man lost control of his vehicle, causing it to veer across the center line and strike an oncoming vehicle. Shortly after, the driver of the victim vehicle fled the scene on foot.
Medics rushed the driver of the striking vehicle to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. Officials said he was last listed in critical condition.
No further information has been disclosed at this time, but a search for the unknown driver was underway.
