WAUPACA COUNTY, WI — One person died Monday afternoon after a single-vehicle accident on U.S. Highway 20 in west Waupaca, according to NBC26.
The fatal crash happened on the westbound highway near Exit 250 to West Fulton Street. Waupaca Police responded to the scene at about 12:50 p.m.
An early investigation shows the vehicle was heading westbound, when, for unknown reasons, it ran off the roadway and into a ditch. It then overturned and traveled down an embankment.
Officers arrived to find the driver and sole occupant had been ejected from the vehicle and had died as a result.
