OZAUKEE COUNTY, WI — A vehicle accident Wednesday evening shut down all northbound lanes of Interstate 43 near northeast Mequon, reports TMJ4.
The crash impacted the northbound interstate at Exit 89 to Pioneer Road. It was first reported by TMJ4 at 9:02 p.m.
Few details have been released at this time, but authorities indicated the event was weather-related. Motorists were advised to take extra caution as roadways become slick ahead of a Winter Storm Warning set to go into effect on Thursday at 9:00 a.m.
By 9:41 p.m., TMJ4 reported the scene had been cleared and all lanes were reopened to traffic.
At this time, it remains unclear how many vehicles were involved or whether anyone was seriously hurt.
