MILWAUKEE COUNTY, WI — One person was hospitalized late Wednesday morning following a single-vehicle rollover wreck in downtown Shorewood, according to CBS58.
The accident took place near East Capitol Drive and Wilson Drive at about 11:20 a.m.
Shorewood Police said a vehicle was heading eastbound on Capitol Drive, when, for reasons still being investigated, it was involved in a crash and rolled onto its side at the intersection.
Crews had to extricate the victim from the vehicle before the patient was transported to a local hospital. No other occupants were involved or injured.
The intersection was shut down during the emergency response, and the public was asked to find alternate routes around the scene.
An investigation remains ongoing.
