MILWAUKEE, WI — A 38-year-old woman died early Sunday after a collision on a Wisconsin Highway 145 exit ramp in northwest Milwaukee, reports TMJ4.
The fatal accident happened on the ramp to North 76th Street and West Fond du Lac Avenue. Officials with the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office said the victim died at about 2:30 a.m.
It remains unclear at this time what caused the crash and whether the woman was a pedestrian or an occupant of a vehicle.
The Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office had the ramp and surrounding area closed off for nearly seven hours during the response and initial investigation.
