MILWAUKEE, WI — A vehicle caught fire Thursday night, causing delays on Interstate 43 near Milwaukee’s Polonia neighborhood, according to FOX 6 Milwaukee.
The Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office said the incident occurred on the southbound lanes near West Oklahoma Avenue at about 9:30 p.m.
Officials have not indicated whether a collision caused the fire, but the volume of smoke coming from the scene impacted traffic even after the vehicle was moved off the roadway.
By 10:30 p.m., emergency responders had cleared from the area.
At this time, no further details and no injuries have been reported.
