GREEN BAY, WI — A 17-year-old Milwaukee resident died Sunday night after a multi-vehicle crash in Green Bay’s west side, reports NBC26.
The fatal incident occurred in the 1200 block of West Mason Street, near South Oneida Street. Green Bay Police Department officers responded to the scene shortly after 7:40 p.m.
Details remain limited, but authorities said the teenager was an occupant of one of at least three vehicles involved. It was unclear whether he was a driver or a passenger.
No other injuries have been reported.
Officers arrived to discover one of the involved occupants had fled the scene, classifying the incident as a “hit-and-run.” At this time, the fleeing occupant has not been publicly identified or reported found.
A section of West Mason Street was shut down for about 12 hours during the response.
An investigation remains underway, but speed has been determined to be a factor in the wreck.
