MILWAUKEE, WI — Two teenagers have been taken into custody weeks after a two-vehicle crash that killed two people in Milwaukee’s north side, reports TMJ4.
The fatal collision occurred near the intersection of West Villard Avenue and North Teutonia Avenue on Monday, November 7, at about 11:30 p.m.
According to authorities, a driver was traveling in a stolen Hyundai when they ran a red light, causing the vehicle to collide head-on with a Buick. Following the wreck, the driver fled the scene. A 17-year-old boy who was left in the passenger seat of the Hyundai suffered undisclosed injuries and was taken to the hospital.
Officials said of the four occupants in the struck Buick, the 22-year-old driver and the 20-year-old front-seat passenger were pronounced deceased. Two backseat passengers suffered non-life-threatening injuries, but at least one had to be taken to a hospital.
As of this writing, the Milwaukee Police Department has arrested two 16-year-old boys in connection with the crash.
An investigation remains ongoing.
