RACINE COUNTY, WI — An 18-year-old driver was taken into custody early Sunday after a two-vehicle wreck on 3 Mile Road in Caledonia, according to FOX 6 Milwaukee.
Village of Caledonia Police Department officials said the accident happened at the intersection with Green Bay Road.
An early investigation indicates an Oldsmobile was traveling southbound on North Green Bay Road and began turning eastbound onto 3 Mile Road after stopping at the intersection. The Oldsmobile was then hit by a Subaru driven by the teen.
Officials said the driver of the Oldsmobile suffered injuries not considered severe. No other information on their condition has been shared.
The driver of the Subaru was arrested for suspected Operating While Intoxicated (OWI) and was booked into Racine County Jail.
Traffic in the area was forced to divert for nearly an hour as authorities responded to the scene.
